Overview;
The Shi-Family Mansion is in Yangliuqing Town of Xiqing District of Tianjin. Built in 1875, the mansion was formerly the residence of the Shi-Family, which was one of the eight prominent families of Tianjin in the ancient times. Today the mansion has been listed as an important historical site under state protection.
The Shi-Family Mansion is made up of ancient-style quadrangle courtyards, pavilions, pool, and gardens.
The paved path leading to the main hall is 60 meters long, surrounded by picturesque buildings standing on both sides of the path.
The Mansion's architectural style, and ornamentation's represent the Chinese folk culture and custom during the late Qing Dynasty.
The eastern courtyard side of the mansion consists of three quadrangle dwellings, which were the residence of the family; in the west, courtyard area find the worshiping hall, drawing room, and the family's private theater (the biggest old private theater in North China).
Today the Shi-Family Mansion has been developed into a Museum, where you will find many famous art masterpieces made of wood engraving pictures as well as Tianjin tile carvings.
The site is about 60 kilometers (1-hour drive) from downtown Tianjin, Ride to and from the Tianjin Shi-Family Mansion using a private, spacious air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver.
Tour Itinerary;
The Shi-Family Mansion private VIP tour starts at 9:00 am. We pick you up from any locations mentioned above. We then drive directly to the Shi-Family Mansion site with one stop halfway between both places for a 10 minutes restroom break if needed. Once on site, you will have a few hours to visit the Shi-Family Mansion site and the area outside the Shi-Family Mansion complex.
We are more than happy to arrange a lunch in a local Chinese restaurant either around the Shi-Family Mansion site or in the Tianjin City center area, for an additional fee.
We then return you back to the original pickup point in the late afternoon.

Reservation fee:
Reservation fee is around 20% to reserve your tour date(s) and is fully refundable ten days before the scheduled Private VIP Tour event date(s), and non-refundable within ten days. Contact Alison for PayPal information.
Alison will make a detailed scheduled according to the client’s private VIP tour requirements, she will then be able to make necessary reservation for sites tickets, transportation's (bus/subway/car/train/taxi/etc.), and restaurant, so there are no surprises during the private VIP tour date(s).
